Paul Marsovszky

Paul Marsovszky was born in 1994 in München. He was fascinated by music even at his young age when he started playing the piano and the violin.

He attended the Lycée Jean Renoir German-French elementary and secondary school before he started studying at the piano and violin classes of the Pestalozzi Music Highschool.

In 2007 he performed in a relevant role of The Magic Flute by Mozart at the Gärtnerplatztheater München (directed by Frank-Martin Widmaier). As a member of the children’s choir of the theatre, he took part in a number of operas, including Hansel and Gretel by Humperdinck, Carmen by Bizet, La Boheme by Puccini and other productions. At that time he started having vocal trainings with Alison Hagley.

In the 2008 season he performed as a soloist in the Magic Flute (the role of the Second Boy) at the Gärtnerplatztheater München.

In 2009 he was accepted at the Piano and the Music Theory department of the Bartók Béla Conservatory Budapest.

In March of 2013 he worked as a music assistant with the Maltese conductor Brian Schembri in an opera production in Lübeck, Germany.

In 2013 he started his studies at the Orchestral and Choral Conducting Department of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music Budapest. After receiving his BA degree, he started his MA studies in 2016, under the guidance of András Ligeti and Ádám Medveczky. He will graduate next year.

Paul Marsovszky has attended several master courses, including the Händel and Mozart courses of György Vashegyi, in 2015.

In the spring of 2016 he worked as assistant conductor with Gergely Madaras at the Savaria Symphony Orchestra in Szombathely, Hungary.

Paul Marsovszky cooperated with a number of excellent orchestras such as the Danube Symphony Orchestra, the Concerto Budapest, the Danubia Orchestra Óbuda and the Hungarian Radio Orchestra.
